Dr Tony Peacock FTSE is retiring as the Chief Executive of the Cooperative Research Centres Association, after ten years in the role.
“While the Board will be sad to see Tony go, we wish him all the very best for his next chapter,” said CRC Association Chair, Ms Belinda Robinson.
“In the decade that Tony has spent in the role, he has achieved a great deal. He has cemented the place of Cooperative Research Centres as a vital link between business and public research organisations,” said Ms Robinson. “We have bipartisan support for the CRC Program, one hundred percent of CRCs are members, and almost all universities are supporting members.”
“On behalf of the CRC Association Board, I thank him for all that he has achieved for the CRC Association, our members, and for the positioning the CRC Association as a trusted voice to government on research-industry collaboration.”
“Tony will leave a proud legacy and an organisation that, despite recent challenges, is in the best shape it has ever been.”
Dr Peacock will continue to work half time until a new CEO is appointed. The search for a new CEO will begin immediately.
“After ten years at the helm, it’s time for someone else to take the Cooperative Research Centres Association to the next level,” said Dr Peacock.
