Three Future Food Systems CRC projects featured in a segment of ABC’s Landline that first aired on Sunday 19 June 2022.
The segment focused on the potential of an exciting new agricultural film developed by one of the Future Food Systems CRC’s industry partners, LLEAF P/L. The company’s ‘luminescent light-emitting agricultural film’ (hence, LLEAF) is designed to optimise the amount of photosynthetically active radiation, or PAR, that can reach crops grown under cover in greenhouses and polytunnels.
Right now, the company’s prototype LLEAF-Red film is being trialled with lettuce, blueberry and eggplant crops in a slate of CRC projects with partner research institution Western Sydney University, in collaboration with Hort Innovation and NSW DPI.
